Missouri swim team holds third place after day one of Big 12 Championships

Several records have fallen to the wayside as the Missouri Tigers find themselves collectively in third place after day one of the Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships on Wednesday at the Mizzou Aquatics Center. The men’s squad is competing against Texas and Texas A&M, while the women square off against Iowa State, Kansas, Texas and Texas A&M.

Starting the record-setting day was the women’s 200-meter medley relay. The team finished second overall, with Cassie Cunningham, Amanda Masters, Shara Stafford and Emily Doucette recording a time of 1:37.34. The time was good enough for an all-time Missouri record.
